Year 6 into Year 7 transition

At Terrigal High School we consider the transition from Primary School to High School very important in the educational and social development of each student.

To this end, we are involved with our local primary schools from Year 5 and Year 6. The transition process continues into High School in Year 7 and Year 8 as we work towards developing the learning skills required for success at High School.

HP (High Potiential) Class

This class caters for High Potiential and Gifted Learners. Students are selected via external testing, portfolio and interview.  Applications will open in Term 3.

THS Concert Band 

This exciting musical initiative provides students with the opportunity to be part of the THS Concert Band.  It is for students who play a wind, percussion or stringed instrument. Facilitated by Teaching Services Australia Concert Band Conductor Mr Rowan McBride, interested beginners and current instrumenalists are encouraged to join.

Targeted Sports Program (TSP)

This well established sports program includes Rugby League, Touch Football, Basketball, Football and Netball.  Students are selected from a Trial Day and portfolio.
