Established in 1978, Terrigal High School has played an important role in the lives and education of the Central Coast Community.
From its very beginning, Terrigal High School has set itself apart from the rest. Whilst still in construction, the school had two early interim sites.
Term 1, 1978, Terrigal High School students were hosted by Erina High School until the second interim site could be established at Bateau Bay in 1978 to 1981 (the current site of Bateau Bay Public School). Staff and students moved into the newly constructed permanent site at the beginning of Term 2, 1981.
In 1981, originally constructed to cater for 700 students, Terrigal High School was a $4.8 million dollar state of the art High School and a welcome new addition to the educational landscape of the Central Coast.
Fast forward to present date and Terrigal High School has definitely come of age and has grown to be one of the most successful comprehensive high schools on the Central Coast. We have a strong reputation for sporting culture and Creative and Performing Arts and our students academic results consistently top the region in the HSC.
