About our school

Terrigal High School is one of the largest co-educational comprehensive schools on the Central Coast, drawing the bulk of its students from a very narrow coastal zone.

The school seeks to ensure a quality, balanced comprehensive educational program for all students. It has an established record of excellence in both academic and sporting pursuits as well as a reputation for high quality programs in the performing arts.

Terrigal High School provides a sound formal education based around a broad academic curriculum, a very effective welfare program, and a wide ranging complementary curriculum.

Sydney North Area Sporting Champion School

Terrigal High School has been recognised as the Sydney North Area Sporting Champion School for 2024. This is a fantastic achievement as the Sydney North region is the most successful sporting region in all of NSWCHS. This honour has been bestowed upon us now on 10 occasions in the past 41 years of record keeping. The Sydney North Region encompasses 59 schools with 58,947 students. This award is testament to the dedication of our staff who provide our students with sporting opportunities across multiple disciplines, as well as acknowledging the strength and skill of our amazing student cohort. Great work to our THS staff and students!!

At the Sydney North awards ceremony on 11 February 2025 there were 48 students who were presented with a Blues Award, and four of these students were Terrigal High School students. The Blues Award is presented to students who have excelled on the sporting field, have displayed outstanding sportsmanship and have made great contributions to their school and sporting communities.
